One-Time Special Series

LGB fans among visitors in Jöhstadt were given information about another new presentation. The class HG 4/4 cogwheel steam locomotive of the Swiss steam railroad Furka Mountain Line was announced here. This unique special model is being produced as an exclusive model in the "Fine Art" style of model making and is strictly limited to 399 pieces.

Class HG 4/4 Cog Wheel Steam Locomotive | Item No. 26270

This is a model of the class HG 4/4 cogwheel steam locomotive of the DFB (Furka Mountain Line Steam Railroad). It is a finely detailed model with heavy metal construction including many separately applied details. All driving wheelsets are driven by a powerful motor. The cogwheel for operation with the LGB 10210 cogwheel rack is also powered. The cogwheel drive gear is then running when the locomotive is running on track with a cogwheel rack. The doors to the cab and the smoke box door can be opened.

The paint scheme is prototypical for Era VI, or as the locomotive looks today. The locomotive is equipped with an mfx/DCC decoder with many light and sound functions such as headlights, cab lighting, running sounds, whistle sound activated by a reed switch, and much more. The running sounds will also work in analog operation. The locomotive has a built-in smoke generator with steam exhaust synchronized to the wheels as well as cylinder steam and steam exhaust at the whistle when the latter is activated. Length over the buffers 40 cm / 15-3/4".

Class HG 4/4 Cog Wheel Steam Locomotive | Item No. 26271

This is a model of the class HG 4/4 cogwheel steam locomotive as delivered by SLM Winterthur in 1923.

Both models are finely detailed and feature heavy metal construction with many separately applied details. The locomotives are equipped with an mfx/DCC decoder to play many light and sound functions. The built-in smoke generator produces steam exhaust synchronized to the wheels as well as cylinder steam and whistle steam. The cogwheel operation can be reproduced prototypically with the LGB 10210 cogwheel rack.
